Lesson Planning & Substitute Plans
I take pride in planning most of my lessons at least one week ahead of time, with room for schedule changes. I also keep an up to date substitute binder, complete with student rosters, an overview of the classroom, and a planning page for each class period.

Guest Speaker Experiences
I believe bringing in guests with real-world experience is extremely beneficial to my students, and strive to bring in at least one guest speaker per course. Students must engage with the speaker and their content with a reflection and guided listening worksheet. Past guest speakers include:
- Coworkers who are parents of varying ages of children – Parenting Ask Me Anything session – Human Growth & Development
- Dr. Marielle Roberts-McDonald, MD – Career Connections, Medical School, and Suturing Clinic – Human Growth & Development and Medical Terminology
- Dr. Allison Carmean, PharmD – Career Connections, Pharmacy School, and Drug Classes – Medical Terminology and Toxic Substances
- Emma Glad, Labor and Delivery RN-BSN and MSN Education Student – Labor & Delivery Nursing and Rural Maternal Healthcare – Reproductive Health
- Dr. Nicole McAllister, PhD, Assistant Professor of Biology at Seton Hill University – Immunology and Virology – Anatomy 1 and Anatomy 2

Data Tracking
Data tracking is an extremely important part of education and tracking student progress. I track all communication with families, as well as accommodations and progress for students with IEP and 504 Plans. I also track any students with IHPs. An example of accommodation overview and tracking is below.
